The History Educators International Research Network [HEIRNET] brings together colleagues from around the world interested in History’s civilising, cultural, educational, moral, social, political and citizenship roles. HEIRNET is a small, informal friendly association that believes in history’s crucial role in educating for a democratic future that depends upon understanding the past.

The HEIRNET website provides details and links to our annual conference (in 2025 we will convene at the University of Cologne, Germany from Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th August) and supports the international peer reviewed History Education Research Journal [HERJ].
